2. General

This website is a personal portfolio. I collect as little personal data as possible. This policy explains what is processed, on what basis, and what rights you have.

3. Server log files

When you visit this site, the hosting provider automatically records: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO, legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation. Logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and security and are then deleted or anonymised by the hosting provider.

4. Hosting

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, acting as a processor under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 DSGVO. Vercel delivers the site through a global network of servers, so data may be processed in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 DSGVO); in addition, Standard Contractual Clauses apply (Art. 46 DSGVO).

5. Cookies and consent

This site only sets cookies after you agree in the cookie banner. Your choice (accepted or declined) is stored in your browser’s local storage so the banner does not appear on every visit; this is technically necessary and contains no personal data. Legal basis for analytics cookies: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO and § 165(3) TKG 2021. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer, with effect for the future.

6. Google Analytics

If you consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to analyse how visitors use the site, e.g. pages viewed, time on site and approximate location. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 DSGVO).

Analytics runs only after you accept; if you decline, no data is sent to Google. Data retention is set to 14 months. You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer, or install Google’s browser opt-out add-on.

7. Contact by email

If you email me, your address and the content of your message are processed in order to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO where the contact relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f). Correspondence is deleted once it is no longer needed and no retention obligation applies.

8. Fonts and media

Fonts are served from this server. No connection is made to Google Fonts. Images and videos are hosted on this site, not embedded from third-party platforms.

9. External links

This site links to my LinkedIn profile. No data is transferred to LinkedIn when you visit this site; only when you click the link does your browser connect to LinkedIn, whose own privacy policy then applies.

10. Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object (Art. 21). To exercise any of these, email contact@csz.design.

11. Right to complain

If you believe your data is being processed unlawfully, you can complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb@dsb.gv.at.
